SUPERNOVA 1990B IN NGC 4568
     N. Suntzeff and M. Phillips, Cerro Tololo Interamerican Observatory,
report: "Preliminary CCD photometry of SN1990B, obtained at the CTIO 4-m
and 0.9-m telescopes by C. Sturch, T. Tyson and P. Guhathakurta, gives:
Jan. 28.3 UT, V = 16.45; 29.3, 16.47; 30.3, 16.62; Feb. 2.3, 16.78;
4.3, 16.87. Comparison with the lightcurves of other type Ib supernovae
indicates that maximum occurred around Jan. 17 +/- 3."

NOVA IN THE LARGE MAGELLANIC CLOUD 1990
     W. Liller, Vina del Mar, Chile, provides the following magnitude
estimates (Kodak 2415 film): Jan. 14.06 UT, 11.8 +/- 0.4 (prediscovery
image); 17.32, 12.4 +/- 0.5; 18.07, 12.7 +/- 0.2; 19.08, 13.0 +/- 0.2;
20.33, 13.3 +/- 0.2.  The first two observations were made using a
yellow filter.

PERIODIC COMET HALLEY (1986 III)
     J. C. Brandt communicates: "Preparation of The International Halley
Watch Atlas of Large-Scale Phenomena is nearing completion. One of the
goals is to include an image showing large-scale phenomena on any day
they are reasonably expected. This period extends from 1985 Nov. 1 to
1986 June 30. This request is for images to fill currently existing
gaps: when the comet was faint, during the times of full moon, and when
the comet was near perihelion. The dates of interest are: 1985 Nov. 1-5,
25; Dec. 19, 25-26; 1986 Jan. 23-31; Feb. 1-21, 23; Apr. 22-23; May 16-
24, 26, 28-31; June 3-9, 13-24, 27-30.  If images showing large-scale
phenomena are available for these dates, or for dates before 1985 Nov. 1
or after 1986 June 30, please send a print suitable for publication to:
John C. Brandt, LASP, Campus Box 392, University of Colorado, Boulder,
CO 80309-0392, U.S.A. Include permission to use the print and indicate
the scale of the image. Responses to this request are greatly
appreciated and will help complete coverage of P/Halley during its
recent appearance."

COMET AARSETH-BREWINGTON (1989a1)
     Total visual magnitude estimates: Jan. 14.96 UT, 6.2 (V. F. de Assis
Neto, Sao Francisco de Oliveira, Brazil, 10x70 binoculars); 17.53, 6.7
(A. Pearce, Scarborough, W.A., 20x80 binoculars); 22.47, 7.9 (Pearce,
Coonabarabran, N.S.W., 20x120 binoculars); 26.46, 8.3 (Pearce); 31.45,
9.1 (R. H. McNaught, Coonabarabran, N.S.W.).
