1990 UA
     E. F. Helin reports her discovery, using the Palomar 0.46-m
Schmidt telescope, of a fast-moving asteroidal object on films
taken by herself, B. Roman, and K. Lawrence. The following
measurements are by Roman:

     Oct. 16.26545 1 24 58.76 - 9 58 33.9

          19.22083 1 28 27.60 - 3 58 24.3 16.2

The following preliminary orbital elements by G. V. Williams,
Center for Astrophysics, suggest that Delta(min) = 0.02 AU around

SUPERNOVA 1990ad IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY
     M. Della Valle, European Southern Observatory, reports: "
Preliminary inspection of a low-resolution spectrum (range 360-700 nm),
obtained on Oct. 15.1 UT with the La Silla 3.6-m telescope,
yields a featureless continuum, suggesting that this is probably a
type-II SN at an early stage."
