PERIODIC COMET JOHNSON (1970h)
Dr. Elizabeth Roemer, Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, telegraphs
that she and R. C. Elliott have recovered this comet with
the 154-cm reflector at the Catalina station, as shown below. The
comet is diffuse, with central condensation and a tail < 1o. The
position indicates a correction of Delta-T = -0.4 day to the prediction
by E. A. Vorob'ev (IAUC 2236). The prediction by F. D. Byers and
W. H. Julian (Handbk Br. astr. Assoc. for 1970) requires correction
by Delta-T = +0.4 day. In fact, the position of the comet is given very
closely by the mean of the two ephemerides.

COMET ABE (1970g)
Prof. M. Huruhata, Director of the Tokyo Observatory, cables
the following measurements by H. Kosai from plates exposed by T.
Seki, Kochi Observatory. The time of the second observation on
IAUC 2260 should read July 4.68056 UT.

NOVA CYGNI 1970
Mr. T. Seki, Kochi Observatory, provides the following
magnitude estimates:
1970 UT mp

June 27.68 13 1116-mm f/5.2 camera
He has measured the following position from a plate taken with a
22-cm f/5 camera:
R. A. = 20h50m46s.25, Decl. = +35o48'01".5 (1950.0)
