A. (1950) Decl. m1 Feb. 9.77222 3 47.2 +19 26 14 27.78021 2 46.5 +15 47 13 The object is diffuse, with condensation or nucleus, nothing reported about a tail. NEW X-RAY SOURCE C. J. Eyles, F. D. Rosenberg, G. K. Skinner and A. P. Willmore, Mullard Space Science Laboratory and Birmingham University, report that Ariel 5 has observed a new x-ray source of approximately 1500 Uhuru counts per second close to the galactic center. The position, R.A. = 17h42m.55, Decl. = -29o.02 (equinox 1950.0), is accurate to +/- 3' but is being improved by current observations, which will continue until Mar. 1.
