CH CYGNI
    M. Hack and S. Ferluga, Department of Astronomy, Trieste
University, telex: "A probable new outburst of the symbiotic star
CH Cyg has been observed on July 6 and 7 with the 1.52-m telescope
of the Haute Provence Observatory. Spectra (ranges 408.0-501.6 nm
and 462.0-505.0 nm, resolution about 0.05 nm) show strong emissions
of H I, He I, Fe II, [Fe II], and [O III] at 500.7 nm. All these
emissions, with the exception of H-alpha, H-beta, and H-gamma,
were much fainter or absent in 1988-89."
     Visual magnitude estimates (cf. IAUC 4907), communicated
in part by E. Waagen, AAVSO:  1989 Nov. 25.0 UT, 9.2 (J. E. Bortle,
Stormville, NY); Dec. 29.73, 8.1 (A. Boattini, Florence, Italy);
