PERIODIC COMET KOPFF (1970c)
     Dr. Elizabeth Roemer, Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, sends
the following precise positions, obtained using the Steward
Observatory's 229-cm reflector on Kitt Peak (cf. IAUC 2213).  The star
trails on the first plate are seriously affected by a flare at the
western end, presumably the effect of cirrus cloudiness, not a
focus change.  Measurer: Mrs. Barbara Schreur.

     According to the Australian amateurs S. C. McMillan and V. L.
Matchett, the total magnitude in 7 x 50 binoculars was 5.3 on Feb.
15.4 and 4.9 on Feb. 21.4.  Moonlight interfered.
