Scotti, Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, reports the following measurements from images obtained by T. Gehrels with the SPACEWATCH camera 0.91-m telescope at Kitt Peak. The comet appears to be very slightly diffuse and is close to predictions by S. W. Milbourn and S. Nakano (MPC 9772; see also Nakano Note No. 450): 1985 UT R.A. Nakano, Tokyo, informs us that this comet was independently recovered by T. Seki, Geisei, as shown below. The comet's images were strongly condensed, evidently almost stellar in appearance. 1985 UT R.A. (1950.0) Decl. m1 July 22.75694 1 51 28.5 + 3 03 39 18.5 22.77083 1 51 29.7 + 3 03 43 PSR 0833-45 A. R. Klekociuk, P. M. McCulloch and P. A. Hamilton, University of Tasmania, report observing an abrupt decrease in the period of the Vela pulsar PSR 0833-45 around July 12. The results were obtained from 635-MHz observations at Hobart during July 1-23. The fractional change in pulse frequency was 1.601 (+/- 0.001) x 10**-6 and in the frequency derivative was 0.017 +/- 0.001. The actual jump was not observed, but three possible epochs have been derived assuming there was no discontinuity in phase at the time of the jump: July 11.873, 12.520 and 13.166 UT. U AQUARII The following additional visual magnitude estimate (cf. IAUC 4073) was obtained by J. Bortle, Stormville, NY: July 12, 14.2. 1985 July 29 (4089) Brian G. Marsden
